Suitability study of the Bayesian State-Space model ‘JARA’ for stock status indicator estimation

This ad hoc report first reviews the technical details of the Generalised Linear Mixed effects Model (GLMM) approach that is applied to estimate model-based indicators for the performance of the Common Fisheries Policy. It then presents the results a suitability study of applying the Bayesian State-Space model ‘JARA’ as an alternative to the current GLMM approach.
